Taiwan Mobile, Yahoo Team Up on Mobile Search Service

Taiwan Mobile announced on June 20, 2007 that it will cooperate with Yahoo to offer Web-based search service for its mobile phone subscribers. The company is scheduled to launch Chinese-language Yahoo! oneSearch service starting in the third quarter of 2007. Overall, six telecoms in the Asia Pacific region have signed up for the Yahoo! oneSearch service, including Taiwan Mobile of Taiwan, Globe Telecom of the Philippines, Idea Cellular of India, LG Telecom of Korea, Maxis Communications of Malaysia, and Telkomsel of Indonesia.
